Embedded in the jungle of Southern Costa Rica, with views to the Pacific Ocean, built on stilts and following the topography of the land, that is Ojo de Nila.
In the briefing to the architects we wrote that we would like to look for newer, more organic designs with decidedly limited space but limitless view options.The values of ecology (e.g. natural ventilation), sustainability and supporting local craftmanship played a key role in the design.
An architectural design that reads the lines of the land in coherence with a new approach of building in Southern Costa Rica is Ojo de Nila.
